Anemossyris Studios - Astypalea island
LOCATION INFORMATION
Astypalea island, also spelled Astypalaia, is the link between the
Dodecannese group of islands and the Cycladic group of islands.
As such one can find many Cycladic elements in Astypalea. The clear
water beaches, traditional white-washed cubic houses, the Venetian
castle and the 8 well preserved windmills give the visitor a first
impression about Astypalea. The two parts of the island are joined
by a small strip of land. |

town, where most of the islands residents live, is located at the
south-west part of the island, and with its traditional color attracts
tourist's interest and has many places of historical and archaeological
significance. Astypalea is an island in Greece that offers itself
for a relaxed and simple vacation. |
HOW
TO GET TO ANEMOSSYRIS STUDIOS IN PERA YIALOS AREA, ASTYPALEA ISLAND:
You can fly to Astypalea from Athens, but ferry boat connections to
the island are also available at certain days of the week from the
islands of Rhodes, Kos, Naxos and Mykonos as well as from the main
Athens port, the port of Piraeus. Anemossyris studios are located
at a 5 minutes walking distance from the island's port and Pera Yialos
pebble beach. The distance from Astypalaia airport is 10 kilometers
15 minutes drive away by taxi. The Archaeological museum of Astypalea
is just 30 meters away from Anemossyris studios and the old Venetian
castle is only 600 meters. There is a local bus service available
and the bus stop is just around the corner from the Anemossyris building
approximately 25 meters away. A Taxi service is available on the Astypalea
island. As an idea of taxi costs, a taxi from Astypalea airport to
Anemossyris studios in Pera Yialos would cost around Euro 6.00. If
you chose to hire a car in Astypalaia then municipal parking lots
are also available in the area. |

GENERAL INFORMATION
Situated in Astypalaia port area at a distance of
50 meters from the central beach of the island and only 100 meters
from the port is the small complex called Anemossyris. The
owner, with respect for the traditional architecture and style of
Astypalaia, in the year 2000 renovated and preserved this 100 year
old building, combining perfectly the traditional color with all
the modern comforts thus creating a warm and friendly environment.
The studios on the ground floor are traditionally furnished, in
that the double bed is situated on a raised wooden platform reached
by stairs, this is locally known as sefas. These studios also offer
nice verandas. The 3 studios on the first floor od Anemossyris offer
a classic double bed as well as couch beds, they also have balconies
which enjoy a view to the sea from the higher level.

- Astypalea ROOM FACILITIES
The Anemossyris consists of 6 Studios for 2-3 persons, offering
fully equipped kitchenette with fridge and oven. Each studio has
its own bathroom, telephone, air-condition, TV and verandas. Mini
fridge, coffee maker, toaster and orange juice extractor are also
available. The Anemossyris provides daily cleaning service, luggage
storage facilities, laundry service. During the high season 15 July
- 31 August reception and room service is available during certain
hours of the day from 09:00 am to 14:00 pm and from 18:00 pm to
21:00 pm. Free arrival transfer is provided by Anemossyris studios
upon request. |
