Astypalea, is the most westerly of the Dodecanese islands complex. Its traditional architecture is mainly influenced by that of the Cyclades. Most of the islands life is concentrated in Chora town. Chora is built on a peninsula surrounded by the Aegean sea, creating two bays called Pera Yialos and Livadi.

HOW TO GET TO VIVA MARE STUDIOS IN PERA YIALOS AREA, ASTYPALEA ISLAND: Astypalea island is located between the Cycladic islands of Amorgos and Anafi and the Dodecannese islands of Kos and Nisyros. You can fly to Astypalea from Athens, but the island is also connected by ferry boats at certain days of the week with the islands of Rhodes, Kos, Naxos and Mykonos as well as with the main port of Athens, Piraeus.
Viva Mare studios are just 5 minutes away 200 meters from the Astypalaia's port and the distance from Astypalaia's airport is 9 kilometers. There is a local bus service available and the bus stop is just around the corner from the Viva Mare's entrance approximately 30 meters away. Taxi service is also available on the island of Astypalea.

Vivamare studios are located in Pera Yialos area, a mere 500 meters away from the center of Chora, Astypalea's capital. The location of Viva Mare Studios is ideal as it provides it's guests easy access to everything that they may require during their vacation with easy access to bakery, super market, pharmacy, newsstand shops, bank, car rental and ticket services, as well as restaurants and bars.

The distance from Viva Mare to the pebble beach of Pera Yialos is just 50 meters. Viva Mare Studios has been recently renovated with special attention given to the fine balance of modern facilities and traditional Astypalean style in order to provide a relaxed and comfortable environment to it's guests.
The aim of Viva Mare studios is to provide a basis to explore the beautiful island of Astypalea. Some of the best features of staying at Viva Mare studios is the peaceful and relaxed atmosphere, the traditional Greek hospitality and the family atmosphere.

Viva Mare offers 16 recently renovated studios with private showers and bathrooms. All the studios have a television, air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchenette with a mini fridge. Tea /Coffee making facilities are also available in Vivamare studios. All studios have a balcony to enjoy the view. 7 of the studios have double beds and 7 have twin beds.
