| MYLOPOTAS BEACH with its fine golden sand beach that goes on for a ever is a paradise for sun worshippers. A perfect place for tanning, having fun on the beach, water sports and of course swimming. Mylopotas beach has enough nightlife and restaurants of its own, however if that is not enough for you, then Ios Town is just over a kilometer away. Buses and taxis run to Mylopotas beach from Ios town Hora and from Ios Port Gialos. The port of Ios from Mylopotas is just around 3 kilometers away. | IOS TOWN also know as the VILLAGE or CHORA or even HORA, is where it all happens in the evening. Ios Town is well renowned for its nightlife that goes on until early hours of the morning. Having said that it is not only for party crazed people, older people and families can have as much fun in Ios Town. Chora is a picturesque village with cobbled winding street offering a surprise at every corner. Build on a hill it provides amazing views from certain vantage points. From Ios Town it is just over a kilometer to Mylopotas beach and the same to Ios Port, called Gialos. | IOS PORT,also know as GIALOS is your first contact with the island of Ios. In the summer months it is quite a lively port with ferry boats coming from the mainland and other Cycladic islands. From here also you are able to go on day trips by boat to some nearly deserted beaches on Ios island. Gialos has a good sandy beach and quite a lot of tavernas and bars of its own. Again if that is not enough then you take a 10 minute walk up the stone pathway to Ios Town. Also Buses and Taxis leave from Ios port to Ios Town, and to Mylopotas Beach. |

From RAFINA the second port of Athens to IOS ISLAND: 3 1/2 hours with the Sea jet Lines. From SANTORINI or NAXOS ports to IOS ISLAND: 1 1/2 hours with normal ferry or 45 minutes with the Flying Cat and High Speed Ferries. From PAROS to IOS ISLAND: 3 hours with normal ferry or 1 1/2 hours with the Flying Cat, and High Speed Lines. From MYKONOS to IOS ISLAND: 4 hours with normal Ferry or 2 hours with the Flying Cat, and High Speed ferries. From CRETE HERAKLION to IOS ISLAND: 2 1/2 hours with the Flying Cat. |
