hotel is situated in Skala Potamias beach area, At Skala Potamias
you can find numerous car hire companies. Also taxis run from
the center to the main town or to a series of fascinating little
villages and other places of interest. An adequate bus service
operates every hour from early morning to early evening, up
and down the beach areas and into the local villages and main
town and a special bus service running right around the island
will take you to destinations further afield.
HOW TO GET TO THASSOS ISLAND: By Ferry boat, either from Kavala
City to Prinos approximate journey time is 1 hour 20 minutes
or, from Keramoti port which is situated 20 minutes away from
the Kavala airport to Thassos Town approximate journey time
is 45 minutes. From Thassos Town to Skala Potamia and the Hotel
Kamelia, either by car, taxi or bus, it takes about 20 minutes. |

The Hotel is situated in Skala Potamia sandy beach with views
across the bay and the harbor with a backdrop of pine clad valleys
and rugged scenery. To the right of the Kamelia, just a short
walk away, there are many restaurants, snack bars, bars, shops
and supermarkets. Here too is the bay, with a large sweep of
sandy beach which gently and safely shelves away to deeper water,
this makes Skala Potamia beach ideal for children. It has sun
beds, a playground and watersports. To the left of the Hotel,
the spectacular 'Golden Beach' stretches for miles until Skala
Panagia with even more restaurants and shops. |

is a friendly, family run Hotel with 14 rooms on two floors.
Recently refurbished with a rolling program of maintenance and
improvement, every room has en-suite bathroom and it's own balcony
and air conditioning. Rooms have a refrigerator, hairdryer and
television which can access both local and BBC programs. |
