Chalets in the directory
A chalet is a cabin or a village or mountain lodge, often rented as a whole. The directory charts 72 of them in Greece, about 2 % of all the stays it lists, spread over 10 regions. The regions with the most are Peloponnese (17), Ionian Islands (16) and South Aegean (12). By town, Trypiti (4), Gialova (3) and pogonia (3) lead.
What we know about them
34 of the 72 have a website on file, 13 a phone number. The rest simply lack that detail in OpenStreetMap, the source of the data (ODbL, extracted in October 2026); it does not mean the place has no website or no phone. We never show prices, availability or reviews, and we do not rank places.
Reading the numbers
The counts come from what contributors have tagged in OpenStreetMap, not from an official register: a place that nobody has mapped is not in the directory, and a place that has closed may still appear until someone removes it. With only 72 chalets charted, treat this list as a starting point rather than the full picture of what Greece offers in this category. Use the figures to see where this kind of stay is common, then check each place with its host.
How to use this page
Pick a town in the first list to see the chalets charted there, with a map, or pick a region in the second list to see every kind of stay it holds. For a stay that fits your dates, contact the host directly: the directory only tells you what exists and where. Greecead is an independent, unofficial directory. The stay finder can narrow things down if you are not sure where to start.
