The directory charts 2,156 of them in Greece, about 65 % of all the stays it lists, spread over 13 regions. The regions with the most are South Aegean (510), Attica (361) and Crete (332). By town, Athens (230), Rhodes (68) and Kos (62) lead.
What we know about them
1,231 of the 2,156 have a website on file, 1,038 a phone number, 293 a star rating and 117 a note on wheelchair access. The rest simply lack that detail in OpenStreetMap, the source of the data (ODbL, extracted in October 2026); it does not mean the place has no website or no phone. We never show prices, availability or reviews, and we do not rank places.
Reading the numbers
The counts come from what contributors have tagged in OpenStreetMap, not from an official register: a place that nobody has mapped is not in the directory, and a place that has closed may still appear until someone removes it. With 2,156 entries the list is large enough to compare regions, but a high count in one place can also reflect how thoroughly it has been mapped. Use the figures to see where this kind of stay is common, then check each place with its host.
